RES Course & Exam
New to a Real Estate Career?
You are required to take a mandatory RES Course from approved course providers and pass the RES Exam in order to start your real estate career as a salesperson.
What is RES Course?
RES Course stands for Real Estate Salesperson Course. All participants must go through this course before they can sit for the RES Exam.
What are the requirements for RES Course?
– Minimum 21 years old.
– At least 4 GCE “O” Level passes or equivalent.
– High Nitec is recognised as equivalent to 4 GCE “O” Level.
– For private diploma & other foreign certification, you will need to submit for original certificate for CEA assessment.
– If you does not have a 4 GCE or diploma, you may apply for WPLN. Once you have attained Level 5 and above, you are eligible for RES Course.
What is the RES Course Fee?
RES Course Fee varies from different course providers. Some course providers allow you to use Skillsfuture and UTAP. You may contact us for more information.
What are the requirements to take the RES Exam?
– Complete RES Course.
– Minimum 75% attendance from RES Course.
– Participants must pass the RES exam within 2 years from completion of RES Course.
What is the passing mark for RES Exam?
60% is the passing mark for both exam paper and is subjected to assess by CEA.
When do I need to join an Estate Agency after I have passed the RES Exam?
You have within 2 years from the month of the exam which you have passed. Failing to do so after 2 years, you are required to retake the RES Course and Exam again.
